History: this handcrafted Africa piece was made by Esenya in 2021. Whereas most her pieces she models in wax, she carved this one out of gypsum! Yes, gypsum. As an experiment, she mixed the ceramics herself, poured them into flat tray, and then carved away. Safe to say, the first few attempts broke, cracked or shattered. But eventually, this Africa shape was born. This piece has gone onto make 3 versions - a plain one, one with a paw print over Kenya, and one with 4 paw prints.
